Staffordshire University, founded in 1992 and spread across two campuses in the towns of Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, with approximately 12,000 students enrolled. Following the REF 2021 results, 68% of Staffordshire University’s research was assessed 3* “internationally exceptional” and 4* “world leading,” up from 37% in 2014. Furthermore  87% of the University’s research impact has been evaluated as “very considerable” or “exceptional”.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available on both campuses. Stoke has almost 1,000 rooms available in student residences or more typical halls of residence, whereas Stafford has 605 rooms. Postgraduate students have a specific hall of residence on the Stoke campus, and the University also has a landlord search engine to assist students who desire to live in the private sector.

International Students’ Services

The International Student Centre which is a part of the Staffordshire University’s Student Office and offers a variety of services to overseas students, such as English language instruction, academic and cultural support, and immigration guidance. A team of skilled English language teachers and two international student counselors staff the center. An International Welcome Programme is held at the start of the year to help students get to know one another, Staffordshire, and the University.

Location

Staffordshire University has two main campuses in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, as well as four minor areas of study. Stoke-on-Trent is located in north Staffordshire, 45 minutes by rail from Manchester, while Stafford is located in south Staffordshire, around one hour from Birmingham.
