England’s Coventry is home to Coventry University, a public research institution. The Coventry School of Design’s establishment in 1843 is credited with its inception. Prior to the Further and Higher Education Act of 1992, when it was granted university status and given the name Coventry University, it was known as Lanchester Polytechnic from 1970 to 1987. Being the fourth largest outside of London, it is the sixth-largest university in the UK and the one with the quickest growth.
